A downloadable game for Windows

Trip the Ark Fantastic is a roleplaying game with gameplay inspired by the scientific method: quests are solved by publishing reports, and your reputation is won or lost based on the validity of your clues and conclusions.

The art is inspired by the golden age of classical animation, which means everything is done by hand and animated frame by frame, while the music is influenced by Wagnerian operas, with thematic leitmotifs and tonal bridges instead of musical layering.

What is the game about?

The story is based on modern fables like Animal Farm and Watership Down, and it examines the complex interplay between religion, science, and political power.

In the game, you take on the role of Charles, a scholar on a quest to prove the Ark Fantastic, an ancient Animal Kingdom creation myth.

With dissent growing in the kingdom, your responses could jeopardize the legitimacy of the kings, and with it, the shape of society.

Who are we?

The game is made at a unionized game development company that follows starch anti-crunch laws and pays all employees equally.

Several award-winning interactive comics, as well as Speed Limit; a tribute to retro gaming available on both current and next-gen consoles, are among our prior titles.

Trip the Ark Fantastic is in early production following a big art direction shift and engine update, with a short demo available for download on this page.

What's in the demo?

Trip the Ark Fantastic's narrative, clue UI, and decision-making system are all demonstrated in this brief demo.

Trip the Ark Fantastic is a story-driven game with numerous character backstories and much interaction between them all.

The clue UI is where you connect your journal's clues and make your ultimate decision.

This is where the decision-making mechanism comes into play, because some of the choices you make in the game may alter the Kingdom's political landscape. So, tread carefully.
